Another Country is a 1962 novel primarily set in New York City in the late 1950s. It portrayed many themes that were taboo at the time of its release, including homosexuality, bisexuality, interracial couples and affairs.

This is race talk, as searching as any attempted in fiction to the present day.  It is so beautifully tender in its depictions of new love and sex and feelings of societal isolation.  A brilliant brilliant novel.
